Joseph Borzelleca, MD
"I like working at MCV because of the incredibly wide spectrum
of people I can care for here, and because of the great range and depth
of my partners' expertise when I need help with a patient's complicated
problem."
A long-time resident of Virginia, Dr. Borzelleca was raised in Richmond.
He received his BA in Biology and Psychology from the University of Virginia,
then his MD from MCV. He completed two years of a Family Practice residency
in Portland, ME before returning to MCV for his Ob/Gyn residency. Dr.
Borzelleca is also a member of the Departments of Emergency Medicine and
Preventive Medicine and Community Health, having received a Masters in
Public Health from the latter in 1998. His professional areas of interest
include birth control, emergency treatment of pregnant women, diagnosing
and treating ectopic (tubal) pregnancies, and ultrasound.tc.)
