Chief Residents
Dr. Swati Adawadkar is currently researching the ‘Combination of Metformin and Oral Contraceptive Pills for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.’ Mentoring on this project is being provided by Paulina Essah, M.D., Assistant Professor. Dr. Adawadkar has had her research approved by the IRB and is currently recruiting patients.
Dr. Eline Haenebalcke is currently researching the ‘Validation of Laparoscopic Simulators.’ Mentoring on this project is being provided by Ellen Brock, M.D. M.P.H., Associate Professor, Vice Chair and Section Head of General Ob/Gyn. Dr. Haenebalcke has had her research approved by the IRB and is currently collecting data.
Dr. Elizabeth McLemore is currently conducting an ‘Assessment of Health Literacy in a Prenatal Population.’ Mentoring on this project is being provided by John Pierce, M.D., Assistant Professor and Student Program Director. Dr. McLemore is in the process of developing survey questions.
Dr. Kelley Morel is currently researching ‘Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Diet Modification.’ Mentoring on this project is being provided by John Nestler, M.D., Division Chairman, Internal Medicine. Dr. Morel has had her research approved by the IRB, and is currently collecting data.
Dr. Natasha Reid is currently researching the ‘Use of Self-Retaining Retractor to Decrease Infection Rate in Obese Patients During C-Section.’ Mentoring on this project is being provided by John Pierce, M.D., Assistant Professor and Student Program Director. Dr. Reid is awaiting approval from the IRB.
Dr. Reagan Viney is currently researching ‘Irrigation of Peritoneum During C-Section and Impact on Post Operative Recovery.’ Mentoring on this project is being provided by Christine Isaacs, M.D., Assistant Professor. Dr. Viney is in the process of completing her IRB application.
